"Triple A - Arts, Academics & Athletics"​

We are asking families to drop off your 596x student at 9 am. 596x staff will work with our students in the areas of academics and arts until 11:15/11:30 am, where we will join again with our families for pizza lunch. Due to the popularity of the program, there is a waiting list for this event Registration required - no walk-ins. 

Students who attend the District 75 Journey to Independence Training - a Pre-Travel Training Program will learn about and work on improving the skills necessary for moving independently in their environments/communities. Parents will learn about ways to promote independence and safety at home and how
to provide opportunities for students to
develop pre-travel and mobility skills.

In honor of /School Spirit Week/Respect For All Week, P596X will be “Dressing the Message”! The purpose of this week is to promote the theme of respect by engaging students in meaningful lessons and activities focused on preventing bias-based harassment, intimidation and/or bullying. All students and staff are encouraged to participate, however, participation is optional.

CookShop for Families is a complementary program for parents and guardians in schools that participate in CookShop Classroom Participants complete workshops focusing on such topics as reading food labels, meal planning, portion sizes and physical activity.

Please join us on Friday, February 14, 2025 for our monthly parent engagement activity. This month's activity will be based around Respect for All Week and Valentine's Day. Additional information including the time to be provided by your child's teacher. Please RSVP by notifying your child's teacher on Remind or via e-mail.

Please join District 75 for the reading of:  "I am Enough" by Grace Byers. The reading will be followed by an interactive activity.

One of our very own students will part of this read aloud! We hope you can join us to support, not only this wonderful District 75 read aloud, but our student, Saylor and her mom!

596x will be celebrating Black History Month throughout the month of February. On February 12th we will be hosting a "poetry slam" with a variety of student performances, student share outs, etc. Families and staff will also be involved in this very special event.
